Email Delivery? How is this CDN? I can somewhat see how the image delivery can be helpful but we are talking tiny tiny traffic. Doesn’t really seem newsworthy.
Sure it’s relevant. Where’s the actual content of the message being hosted? On the CDN. All of the graphics are coming from Panther Express’s servers. I thought this was an excellent representation of a very creative use of CDN that you don’t see everyday. There’s a TON of CDNs that all they do is this type of traffic versus just doing large files, rich media and video. Before I left Highwinds, a large financial company was doing just such a thing. The biggest object was 20k! Nothing worse than having to go halfway around the world to an origin server for that – repeatedly!
