Internap’s VP of Engineering Doesn’t Last Six Months

The nightmare that is Internap Network Services Corp. (Nasdaq: INAP)’s content delivery network (CDN) business continues, as the man who was tasked with turning things around has instead turned in notice.

Internap CTO Tim Sullivan confirmed today that, after less than six months on the job, vice president of engineering Steve Kiene has decided to leave the company. Sullivan says Internap has hired an executive search firm to replace Kiene.

Kiene joined in January, just a few months before a restructuring that included the termination of Dave Frigeri, former vice president and general manager of the CDN group. Since then, Kiene has been tasked with leading the company’s long-term strategic objectives and software development efforts for its CDN.
