Internap Network Services Announces Senior Management Changes


(Source: Datamonitor)trackingInternap Network Services, a provider of end-to-end internet business solutions, has appointed Scott Hrastar as its senior vice president of IP services and Robert Minnear as its vice president of engineering.

While Mr Hrastar will be responsible for business, engineering and product development initiatives for the company’s IP and content delivery network (CDN) services product units, Mr Minnear will drive strategy and execution across the Internap engineering organization.

Mr Hrastar has more than 20 years of technical and management experience in the IP networking industry. Before joining Internap, he served as entrepreneur-in-residence at Georgia Tech University’s advanced technology development center where he provided counsel to many early stage companies.

Mr Hrastar career includes roles of increasing responsibility in R&D as well as product and business management with global leaders in the technology, scientific and defense industries, including AirDefense, where he was founder, chief technical officer, and senior vice president of product development. He also held senior roles at Hitachi Telecom, Lancope, Pathfire, and Scientific Atlanta, among others.

Mr Minnear founded Springbank Networks, a startup company focused on developing CDNs for ISPs, which was later acquired by WAN application delivery leader Blue Coat Systems. He also spent four years at Tall Maple Systems, where he led the development of application management platforms for internet appliances.
